The fine print

Disclosures

How Willow & Thorn makes money, and what this site is and isn’t.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the site running.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I may also use other affiliate programs, and any post containing affiliate links says so.

Commissions never decide what I recommend. If the best option is something with no affiliate link, that is what I recommend.

Reviews and gifted products

No brand pays to be featured or reviewed here. Reviews are of products I have used myself. If a brand ever sends me something for free, the post will say so clearly, and the review stays honest.

Advertising

In future this site may show display ads. Ads are chosen by the ad network, not by me, and don’t mean I recommend the product.

Health disclaimer

Everything on Willow & Thorn is general information and my personal experience. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a GP, dermatologist, pharmacist or other health professional who knows your situation.

Nothing here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. My acne posts describe what I tried and what happened for me. Your skin is different. Please talk to a professional before starting or stopping any treatment, and patch test new products.

About “low-tox”

“Low-tox” here means choosing options with fewer ingredients of concern where it is practical. It doesn’t mean any product is “toxin-free” or “chemical-free”, and I won’t describe products that way. Where I make a claim about an ingredient, I link to the source.

Corrections

If you spot something that is wrong or out of date, please email me. I would rather fix it than leave it.
