Willow & Thorn is run by Gemma (“I”, “me”), a sole trader based in Sydney. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how it is used, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
What I collect
- Emails you send me, including your name and email address.
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you join my email list, your email address is stored with my email service provider.
- Website usage. Analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats) collect technical information like your browser, device, rough location and the pages you visit. This is used in aggregate to understand which content is useful.
- Comments, if you leave one, including the name and email you enter.
Cookies and affiliate links
This site uses cookies for analytics. When you click an affiliate link (for example to Amazon), that retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie so a purchase can be credited to this site. If display ads are added in future, the ad provider may use cookies to show and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How I use it
To reply to your messages, send the emails you signed up for, and improve the site. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every email. I never sell your personal information.
Former shop customers
Willow & Thorn previously sold jewellery through this site. If you ordered from the shop, your order details are kept only as long as Australian tax law requires, and are not used for marketing.
Keeping your information safe
I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is perfectly secure, but I work to keep your data safe.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email me and I will help.
